Softal is officially incorporated in Ireland

On May 8, 2026, Softal Limited was formally incorporated in Ireland. It is an important date for us, but it is not where the story began.
The work behind Softal stretches back nearly two decades: small utilities, websites, browser extensions, open-source projects, and apps built because we wanted them to exist. Some were experiments, some found a loyal audience, and some taught us lessons that shaped everything that came next.
From making projects to building a company
For many years, the products came first and the company structure came later. We followed ideas that felt useful, learned new platforms when a product needed them, and kept improving the things people chose to use.
That path led to products such as Presentify, ToDoBar, KeyScreen, FaceScreen, and SimpleFill. Each one started with a clear, everyday problem and the belief that focused software can solve it without becoming complicated.
Incorporating Softal gives that body of work a permanent home. It creates a clear foundation for the products we already maintain and the ones we have yet to build.
What stays the same
The legal name is new. Our way of working is not.
We will continue to stay close to our users, sweat the details, and build software that feels as good as it works. We will keep making focused products, shipping meaningful updates, and sharing useful parts of our work with the open-source community.
